5 Essential Tips To Make Your Jeans(Denim) Last Longer
Jeans is one of the clothing materials
that people commonly wear. Both male
and female, you’d find people looking
adorable in jean wears almost everywhere you go. You probably have
some yourself. They help you look
smart, classy and that’s why people
have preference for them among other
wardrobe items.
But despite the common nature of jean
wears, the knowledge of caring for them
is not so common. A lot of people who
get charmed by the beauty of jean
wears, only know little about how to
care for them. This is perhaps why your
jeans do not last as long as it should.
Here are some tips to help you care for
your jeans so they last long:
Spot Clean Your Jean
It is safe and completely acceptable to
clean small stains on your denim with
damp cloth and mild soap. It is a stress
free way to prepare your jean for the
next wear. This method is recommended as it reduces the frequency of subjecting your jeans to harsh washing condition and by this, you’re caring for your denim to last longer.
Turn It Inside Out When Washing
You cannot spot clean your jeans forever. After about ten wears, your jeans is ready for a proper wash. Turn your jeans inside out to prevent it from losing its color. They say the way you dress is the way you are addressed. So the fade of your jean reflects your personal style.
To keep your jean looking fresh and not
badly faded, avoid having an aggressive
spin cycle for it.
Remember to clean the pockets! Ink stains should not mess up the pocket of
your jean. Also make sure sand and other dirt materials are not trapped in the pocket of your jeans.
Use The Right Detergent
Have you been told, that the choice of
your detergent is one way to show how
you care for your clothes? Learn which
washing material best suits your cloth.
For jeans, its best not to use harsh soaps, especially those jeans with indigo blue tint. Harsh soaps wash out the indigo blue tint of your jeans.
Preserve the look of your jeans with the
right detergent. Most detergents are
concentrated, so apply little when washing your jeans.
Use cold water and avoid using bleach
I’ve heard that some people soak their
jeans in steaming water to take out the
stains. But it isn’t the best, especially if
you plan to maintain the color of your
jean for long.
Cold water is preferable in washing your
jeans, as it protects it from fading. You
should also avoid using bleach to maintain the nice look of your jean.
Air Dry Your Jeans
It is preferable to air dry your jean after
wash. Another option is using dryers,
but dryers are not the best for your jeans. They cause your clothes to give out lints. It is better to use the natural means of air drying, as it helps to preserve the cloth’s fit and to avoid possible shrinkage or fabric warping.
Also, keep your clothes, not only jeans,
turned inside out when spreading them
out in the sun. This helps to prevents
fading of the cloth and to ensure the
interior parts get dried.

6 Reasons Not To Use Your Phone In Bed At Night
Many people now sleep with their
phones in bed at night. This is an
obvious sign of phone addiction that
they dream about their devices.
Unbelievable but true. This is not really
good. So, before you get into your bed
tonight, Jumia Travel, the leading online
travel agency, urges you to check out
these reasons not to use your
smartphone in bed at night.
You will be unable to sleep
This is the most obvious reason why
you should never use your phone in
bed. You will never be able to sleep
because of all the notifications that are
disrupting and disturbing your sleep. Of
course, you know that doctors
recommend at least 8 hours of sleep
daily. Your phone should be on silent if
you really want to get a smooth and
uninterrupted nap.
You can be depressed
Persons who use their phone more
frequently are prone to moodiness and
depression. Also, since you are unable
to get proper sleep just because you
cannot control your phone usage, you
are simply making you vulnerable to
depression.
You are damaging your eyes
Exposure to blue light at night, emitted
by your phone can affect the eyes. And
today, there are many smartphones that
emit this light. To prevent dry eyes and
blurred vision, allow your eyes to rest
instead of surfing your phone AI night.
You may experience anxiousness
Imagine waking up in the middle of the
night and you are searching desperately
for your phone which is just right beside
you. And because you cannot find it,
you begin to feel anxious and you
become agitated. The only time you
recover is when you eventually find your
phone. It’s better to switch it off (if you
want) and keep it as far away from you
as possible.
Reduce exposure to radiation
Smart phones usually release a form of
non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation
that can be absorbed if it is too near
your body. The risk is limited when the
phone is disconnected from either WiFi
or turned off. You pay more attention to your loved ones.
There is no gainsaying that you will
concentrate and listen more if you do
away with your phone in bed. So, make
that decision to limit phone usage in bed
at night.

JAMB Candidates Yet To Get Their Results Are Not Qualified To Get it Now - JAMB Registrar
The JAMB Registrar, Prof Oloyede has
disclosed that the results of candidates
identified in footage of Close Circuit
Television (CCTV) to have indulge in
unwholesome practices during the just
concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation
Examination (UTME) will not be
released.
The JAMB Registrar made this known
during an interview on Channels
Television.
According to him, the board has been
busy reviewing the recorded footages of
the exam across the country and a
number of candidates will be punished.
“Those who have not received their
results are qualified not to receive for
now. In all cases where there were no
problems, we released results of the
examination within 24 hours. But those
who have not received their results, they
may not be culpable but we are investigating".
"Where we have reason to doubt
anything or where we have report of
anything that is not acceptable to us,
we have withheld the results. “And we
will keep on releasing them as we clear
them".
"For instance, this morning, we
released another 15,000 results. But
among those who sat in that centre, we
have reasons, concrete evidence to say
about 300 of them, their results will not
be released because we know they were
not in the hall where the examination
took place."
“We are comparing those who sat for
the examination, how long they sat in
the hall, and how some of them took
excuses that they were going to the
toilet only to go to what they called VIP".
“All this we are now able to track. And
we want to say that we will not hesitate
to sanction anybody no matter how
highly placed.” He stated.

5. Economics
4. Mass Communication
3. Law
2. Accounting
1. Medical Science
Jamb exam has just being conducted, some candidates scored high, some
medium, why some low, but passing
jamb does not mean you are admitted, the fact that you beat the cut-off mark of your chosen institution/course does not mean you're admitted, well its not supposed to be so but that's how it is.
So i was thinking what else does some candidates need after passing jamb to gain admission and i came up with three points.
There maybe be others, so feel free to add yours! But in Nigeria these are d 3 things :
1. Money
Money they say answers all things, these includes admission with enough
cash, you can gain admission or still
go to a private university.
2. Connection
If you have the right connection, admission is sure for you! I've seen many cases of such.
3. Grace
If you don't have the two above, well, grace is what is left, so go to church very well and pray fervently (my candid advise)
Which of the options above suites you??

Differences between NiCad , NiMH and Lithium Ion batteries ?
What are the differences between
NiCad , NiMH and Lithium Ion
batteries ?
Batteries in portable consumer
devices such as a laptop , camcorder ,
cellular phone, etc . , are typically made
using either Nickel Cadmium (NiCad ) ,
Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH ) or
Lithium Ion (Li - Ion ) battery cell
chemistry. Each type of rechargeable
battery chemistry has its own unique
characteristics :
NiCad Batteries
( Nickel Cadmium )
The main difference between the two
is that NiMH battery (the newer
technology of the two ) offers higher
energy density than NiCads . In other
words , the capacity of a NiMH is
approximately twice the capacity of its
NiCad counterpart. What this means
is for you is increased run - time from
the battery with no additional bulk or
weight . NiMH also offers another
major advantage : NiCad batteries tend
to suffer from what is called the
" memory effect "
NiMH Batteries
(Nickel Metal Hydride )
NiMH batteries are less prone to
develop this problem and thus require
less maintenance and conditioning .
NiMH batteries are also
environmentally friendlier than NiCad
batteries since they do not contain
heavy metals (which present serious
landfill problems).
Note :Not all devices can accept both
NiCad or NiMH batteries.
Li - Ion Batteries
(Lithium Ion )
Lithium- Ion (Li - Ion) has become the
new standard for portable power in
consumer devices . Li - Ion batteries
produce the same energy as NiMH
battery but weights approximately
20 % - 35 % less .
This is can make a
noticeable difference in devices such
as cellular phones , camcorders or
notebook computers where the
battery makes up a significant portion
of the total weight . Another reason Li -
Ion batteries have become so popular
is that they do not suffer from the
" memory effect " at all . They are also
environmentally friendly because they
don' t contain toxic materials such as
Cadmium or Mercury .
The Do' s and Don ' ts of Battery Use
Battery
Do' s :
Fully charge/ discharge battery up to 4
cycles before achieving full capacity of
a new battery.
Fully discharge and then fully charge
the battery every two to three weeks
for battery conditions .
Run the device under the battery ' s
power until it shuts down or until you
get a low battery warning. Then
recharge the battery as instructed in
the user ' s manual.
Remove from the device and stored in
a cool , dry , clean place if the battery
will not be in use for a month or
longer .
Recharge the battery after a storage
period .
Ensure maximum performance of the
battery by optimizing the device ' s
power management features . Refer to
the manual for further instructions.
Battery Don ' ts:
Do not short - circuit. A short - circuit
may cause severe damage to the
battery.
Do not drop , hit or otherwise abuse
the battery as this may result in the
exposure of the cell contents , which
are corrosive .
Do not expose the battery to moisture
or rain .
Keep battery away from fire or other
sources of extreme heat . Do not
incinerate . Exposure of battery to
extreme heat may result in an
explosion.
